Frequently Asked Questions

General Questions

  • Availability changes frequently as bookings roll in, so the best way to check is to submit a registration request through our website.

    If there's a spot, we'll confirm it and ask you to complete registration within 72 hours to hold it. If we're full, we'll add you to our waitlist and reach out as soon as space opens up.

  • Submitting a registration request through our website program page is the first step.

    Once we confirm there's space, you'll have 72 hours to complete your Lillio registration, sign our Parent Package & Policies form, and send payment.

    All forms must be completed and payments received, before your child is officially registered.

    There's a one-time, non-refundable $50 registration fee per family.

  • First payment is by e-transfer to nature.community.ec@gmail.com. After that, e-transfer or credit card through Lillio (2.99% service charge applies). Monthly tuition is due by the 15th of each month.

  • Engagements range from two weeks for focused audits to several months for comprehensive transformation.

  • We're a mobile program, so our daily locations vary. Always check Lillio for that day's meeting details.

    After-School Club (2:30–5:30 pm)

    • Our team picks your child up directly from school — no drop-off needed from you.

    • Please let your child's teacher know we're authorized to pick them up.

    • The parent pick-up spot and time can vary day to day; check Lillio for the day's details.

    • Need to pick up outside your scheduled time? Let us know in advance.

    Day Camps (Pro-D, Spring Break & Summer)

    • Drop-off and pick-up locations vary daily — check Lillio for updates.

    • If you've registered for Extended Days, drop-off and pick-up are at our Backyard location.

    • Camp days run 9:00 am – 3:00 pm. Please check Lillio for the day's specific meeting location.

    • Need to drop off or pick up outside these times? Let us know in advance.

  • For After-School Club members, we provide a healthy afternoon snack. For Day Camps, please pack enough food to last the full day. Always send a large, labelled water bottle every day.

  • Everything runs through Lillio — daily and weekly location updates, schedule changes, and program news.

  • Being properly prepared is essential for your child's safety and enjoyment. Inadequate gear may mean we need to call for an early pick-up or ask you to drop off supplies. Please label all clothes and belongings.

    Food & water

    • After-School Club (members only): a healthy snack is provided daily.

    • Day Camps: no snacks are provided — please pack enough healthy food for the full day.

    • A large water bottle is mandatory year-round.

    • Please send extra food for any sensitivities, preferences, growth spurts, or dietary needs.

    Fall / Winter / Spring

    • Rain or snow gear

    • Weather-appropriate footwear

    • Gloves and hats

    • A complete change of clothing (including socks and underwear), kept in a sealed jumbo Ziploc bag for the season

    Summer

    • Running shoes

    • Water shoes, swimsuit & towel

    • A hat

    • Sunscreen, bug spray, and/or after-bite

    • An extra plastic bag for wet or dirty clothing

    • A full change of clothing (recommended)

    • Helmet & wheels (required for Action Parks Week only)

After-School Explorers (Ages 5–12)

  • 2:30–5:30pm, Monday–Friday. Our team picks children up directly from school (please notify your child's teacher we're authorized to do so) — no drop-off needed from you.

  • Edgewood Explorers: Edgewood, Pacific Heights, Ta'talu, and East Kensington Elementary

    Sunnyside Seekers: Jessie Lee and Sunnyside Elementary

    • Annual membership, paid in full (15% savings): $5,000/yr

    • Monthly — 5 days/week: $490/month

    • Monthly — 4 days/week: $440/month

    • Monthly — 3 days/week: $360/month

    • Monthly — 2 days/week: $240/month

    • Drop-in (non-member): $40/day

Little Explorers (Ages 3–5)

  • A half-day, drop-off program, Monday–Friday, 9:00am–1:00pm.ext goes here

    • Monthly — 5 days/week: $595/month

    • Monthly — 3 days/week: $465/month

    • Monthly — 2 days/week: $325/month

  • Not fully. If your child is well on their way to being potty trained, we're happy to support them through the later stages — pull-ups are welcome. We're just not able to manage diaper changes.

  • 3 years old. Younger children are considered case by case — reach out with your child's exact age.

Day-Camps

  • Explorers (5-12yrs) 9:00am–3:00pm

    Little Explorer (3-5yrs): 9:00am-1:00pm

    Extended hours available, subject to availability. Must be pre-booked.

  • Summer Day-Camp runs as weekly, themed camps through July and August.

    Spring Day-Camp follows the same format during Surrey school district's Spring Break.

    Pro-D Day Camps runs as single days on Surrey school district Professional Development days throughout the school year.

    • Explorers Non-Club Members: $65 per day

    • Explorers Club Members: monthly membership dues + $25/per day top-up

    • Little Explorers (3–5): $45 per day

  • Yes — Pro-D has an annual pre-pay option: $175, paid in September, covers all Pro-D days for the year (including early dismissals), with up to 2 cancellations allowed.

  • Summer and Spring Break weeks fill up quickly, so booking early is recommended — we keep a waitlist for full days/weeks.

    Pro-D dates are announced via email, our website, and Lillio ahead of each one.
