Our After-School Explorers program offers a refreshing alternative to traditional after school care—a nature-based, community-connected experience designed to support school-aged children through movement, play, and meaningful connection.
Instead of being indoors at the end of a long school day, children unwind and recharge in natural outdoor spaces, where they are free to explore, imagine, and connect with peers and mentors. Through hands-on, place-based activities, they build confidence, resilience, and emotional wellbeing while deepening their relationship with nature and their community.

What to Expect From The After-School Explorers Program
Every afternoon takes your child somewhere new and exciting across South Surrey/White Rock. Today might find us building forts at Campbell Valley Park, tomorrow we could be exploring heritage buildings at Historic Stewart Farm, or spending the week observing animals at BC Farm Museum. Our mobile approach means no two days are the same—each location chosen to match the season, weather, and what's capturing the children's imaginations.
A Typical Adventure Day (2:30pm - 5:30pm)
Children are picked up from school by our explorer bus, driven by a licensed educator; creating an immediate transition from classroom to adventure. Once we arrive at our destination, we settle in with snacks and our signature "How are we all feeling today?" check-in. Then the real exploration begins—perhaps tracking animal footprints, creating land art masterpieces, or embarking on treasure hunts through forest trails. We wrap up with a collaborative clean-up before heading home. Extended hours available for families who need them.
Staying Connected
You'll receive location details in advance through our app and text messaging, so you always know where the adventure leads. During challenging weather, we shift to covered pavilions, community centers, or special indoor venues that keep the exploration spirit alive while staying comfortable and safe.
