Little Explorers Program

Nature & Community Exploration Club – South Surrey / White Rock

Ages 3–5 | Half-Day, Nature-Based Drop-Off Program

Let your child’s first steps into learning begin outdoors—with muddy boots, curious minds, and joyful hearts.

The Little Explorers Program is a play-based, nature-immersive experience for children ages 3–5. This half-day, drop-off program is designed to gently introduce young children to social learning, outdoor exploration, and community connection—all while honouring the natural rhythms of early childhood.

Rooted in our values of curiosity, compassion, and connection, Little Explorers offers small group experiences where each child is known, supported, and encouraged to grow at their own pace. Every session includes hands-on activities that build confidence, problem-solving, empathy, and environmental awareness—all in the great outdoors.

Why Families Choose Little Explorers:

  • Small group sizes for meaningful relationships and personalized support

  • Led by highly trained facilitators with expertise in early childhood education and behavioural guidance

  • A safe, supportive environment rooted in attachment, community, and child-led discovery

  • Flexible scheduling, including drop-in options and space for younger siblings

  • A nurturing alternative to traditional preschool or daycare

  • Parent-friendly—we welcome family involvement and foster whole-family connection

  • A stepping stone to our Explorers Program for older children

Little Explorers is ideal for families who want more than a typical preschool experience. Our families value connection, nature, and play. They believe in giving their child space to grow through movement, wonder, and real-world learning. Whether you're hoping to get your child outside more, build social-emotional skills, or connect with like-minded families, this program is designed with you in mind.

Who is Little Explorers for?

Benefits of the Little Explorers Program

Children who spend time in nature are more resilient, confident, empathetic, and calm. Through exploration and connection, they develop a deep appreciation for the world around them and form the early foundations for lifelong learning, emotional intelligence, and environmental stewardship.

Give your child the gift of nature, friendship, and freedom to explore—preparing them not just for school, but for life.

How the Little Explorers Program Works

Every morning brings a new destination and fresh adventures for your little one. Whether we're meeting at the towering trees of Redwood, the open meadows of Campbell Valley, or the peaceful ponds at Kerry Park, each location becomes a living classroom filled with endless possibilities for discovery and wonder.

A Typical Hal-Day Adventure

Drop-off happens directly at our chosen location where our early childhood facilitators warmly welcome each child. We gather for our morning circle and snack, sharing how we're all feeling today. Then the real magic begins—building mud kitchens, searching for hidden treasures, creating nature art, or following butterfly trails—all guided by what sparks their curiosity in that moment. We close our time together with a gentle clean-up ritual before pick-up.

Staying Connected

Location details arrive through our Lillio app the evening before, with covered or indoor community spaces arranged during challenging weather. For little ones who need rest breaks, we create quiet spaces as needed, though we may call for early pickup if your child is too tired to participate comfortably in our activities.
